Yesterday during virtual church
10-5-2020, the word of the Lord to me was "Anchored," At first I was puzzled because its not like the Pastor was preaching anything that alluded to the word. I immediately asked the Lord, what was he saying to me.
His response was, you need to be anchored in me so that when anything or anyone tries to pull or uproot you from me, they cannot succeed. Of course, I thought to myself, "Lord, no one is going to turn my heart from following you. I am anchored."
Most times when we think of being anchored in the Lord, we only think in terms of Him keeping us, but we never think that some things may occur that cause us to walk away from Him, not out of rebellion, but merely because we think we have the answers and in that moment we think we can fix it quicker than He can. So, we uproot ourselves. And, the Lord will not force us to stay. Why? Because we have a free will.
Many times, when we are going through the storms of life, we tend to focus on our wit, our feelings about the matter, and our competence regarding the matter. BUT, We can have all the right intentions of making our situations better, and the right solution to fix the problem, and soon find ourselves no longer anchored. So, in other words, the Lord was saying, this anchor does not mean you do not love me, but that you think that your ways and thoughts are better than mine. Do not take matters in your own hand.
Trust the Lord to lead and guide you no matter how grand your idea may be. For, His (Jesus Christ) ways and thoughts are far better than ours.
"Anchored" means firm. Firm means secure. Secure means stable. There may be times when you teeter, totter, or tilt under great pressure, but no matter what, remain firm in God's plan for your life, stable in his omniscient power, and secure in all of his promises. PERIOD!
Have you ever heard the term or phrase "Open Door?" Many people, especially Christians use this or declare this to others as a prophetic word or Oracle of God. It's not a bad thing to declare but just like with many other prophesies, the Bible warns us to test the spirit to see if it is in fact from God or the evil one.
Truthfully, there are some doors I refuse to walk in or through. When I lived in an older apartment, I refused to go to the basement. Just the thought of what was behind there creeped me out. Some of us need to have that same caution and reserve before we start getting excited about new and sudden doors opening, regardless of how bright it may seem.
Jesus said, if I stand at the door and knock and if anyone hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in (Rev. 3:20). With that being said, You not only choose what doors you walk through, but which ones you open. Even at my current home, where the neighborhood is safe and neighbors are friendly, I'm still cautious before I open my door. I make sure that I not only recognize the person's voice, but I peep out the window to make sure it's actually them before I open my door.
Be aware of those New and Sudden Open Doors Ladies!
New and Sudden Open Door
Thou shall love the Lord they God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself
Many of us definitely got this wrong. We started loving him (man) before loving Him (God). Before my boyfriend became my husband, there was so much excitement; excitement that came with adventure, exploring, experimenting, and companionship. It was fun, but it was not fulfilling.
Have you ever felt like something was still missing? You wanted more? You was not content? That was me. Even after marriage, something that I thought would be the icing on the cake, still was unsettling. It was not until I met Him (God) my life began to have meaning and substance.
I learned that loving Him brought more clarity and purpose to my life. My every waking moment is purpose-driven and intentional-focus. I am no longer exploring. I am living. Through my relationship, my husband and I moved from mere companionship to partnership. We are one. BUT GOD! We are Living on purpose and that is beyond exciting. You can too.
